This is a kougou(container for incense) made of pottery used to contain the moist and kneaded incense in Ro season (from November through April)used to get rid of smell of charcoal at tea room.This has a cow shape which is auspicious motif made out of very earthy rough texture.There is a craftman's signature on the body.It has a small clack in the middle of the body, but as a whole it is in a good condition.This is a fun piece just to diplay or use as an aromatice container or you name it!
