This is a Hikifuda(handbill) dated Meiji 39(1,906).Hikifuda is a small handbill used to advertise shops and products to customers and calender like this is handed out during new year.Thsi custome started during the middle of Edo era and designs bacame very elaborated.This was for fertilizing shop in Osaka.It is divided into black and red in the middle which are lunar and solar calendars.The logo,days,azimuth , Japanese numbers,there are so much writings and all are done in very artistically.Please enjoy all on more details.There are some patina,and slight tear on the rims,and it is folded,so there is a line in the middle,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be charming art on the empty wall for your home!
