This is a tetsubin,iron kettle with a well known Arare texture(small dots)on the surface of the kettle dated around mid.1,900s.Arare is prominet character made in Nambu clan (present day Morioka, Iwate pref.),so it has a stamp on the side. This rounded shape is covered with dots on the upper part which size get bigger lower they get and handsome texture on the lower part.There is a small adorable spout and that looks so charming.The handle does not move either way. Due to frequent use of water,it is rusty which gives great aged patina to it,some flaws,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This simple beauty will be so easy to blend in your home,even just to arrange one flower in it!
