This is a hibachi,hand warmer dated around 1,930s made of hollowing out one kiri(paulownia)wood.It has sweet chrysanthemum on one side and other has ivy in makie techinique.Some of chrysanthemum are coated with Nashiji which is transparent and yellowish and is prepared by mixing gamboge or gardenia pods with transparent urushi of good quality.All are handdrawn beautifully on gorgeous natural kiri wooden grain.They come with an removable containers made of copper. Due to age , it gest rusty,also they are some scratches,stains and dents,but as a whole it is in an excellent condition. This set will be perfect planter for your home!
