This is a pair of tobacco-bon coated on Tsugaru urushi dated Taisho 11(1,922).
Japan developed in Hirosaki City of Aomori prefecture and the quality of this type of work is very high and it is famous for its durability.
These are patterns created by the application onto wet lacquer of dried rape seed, tobacco, or burned rice husks, which, when rubbed away reveal intricate, delicate surface patterns unique to Tsugaru lacquer.
It has intricated patterns and colors which are just incredible.Smoking tobacco pipes means to socialize with people sitting around tabaccobon,drinking a couple of tea,and easy to carry around as you see from this,too.They are nicely rounded and made in full details.They come in an original wooden box.

Due to age and use,there are slight scratches,stains, and one of the bowl start to worn out(it is not broken,but has many lines,so we had better not to send it),but they are in very good condition.
This set has great sparkling more than you can imagine and will be excellent serving tray for your guest!
*Please let us know if you don't need a box for less shipping since the wooden box is very heavy.
*Again,it is better not to ship white bowl.
