This is a Kawawra(roof tile) dated around early to early to mid.1,900s. It is nicely made by hand which have such a warm touch and this motif is really interesting! Most of tiles come in family crest,gargoyle,but this has a auspicious motif of koi,carp in the splashing water.It has a hook on the back,so you can hang (need to have solid wall since it is very heavy). Please enjoy all details on more pictures. Due to weathering,it is worn out which give great aged patina to it, there are some chips around the rims and colors start to change and there are some stains,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This is so different from any other kawara and will be excellent art piece covered with moss for your garden!
