This refined wooden box with full set of 4 sutra books dated around early 1,900s. The box is called `Kyobako',sutra box, contains sutra books with wonderful temple family crest on top and side. The top has gentle curve and look so elegant with gold rims.Because it is finely made,inside of box is coated in stunning gold.Please enjoy all details on more pictures. It has some scratches,stains,chips and coatings came off, specially on the bottom,and gold colors got blacken,aslo sutra books have some flaws on the outside fabrics,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This box will be perfect to practice zen! *Books seem woodblock printed.
