This is a Usubata(Flower vase), two-piece used for flower arrangement and tea ceremony dated Bunkyu 3(1,863).There are charming 3 sea gulls over splashing waves,and the back of it also has stunning waves,so this can be displayed as a center piece in your room.Every birds fly differently and done in full details. Tri-legs have unqiue elephant shapes and both hands are made of shishis. It comes in an original wooden box. Due to age and use(This is about 150 years old!!!),the bottom part where water stay must have come off,so it is weld again(you can not really see them since this is on the bottom of top part),and there are some scratches,stains and due to frequnet use of water,it gets rusty,and gets greener including the bottom of vase,also the box is worn out a lot,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This exquisite beauty will be perfect for your Ikebana or just display it as a piece of art! *The box is really worn out,so it is better we don't ship this,so please let us know if you don't need the box also for less shipping.
