This outstanding Shishi(Imaginary Lion from China) is one of the famous pottery, Kutani(Located in Ishikawa prefecture) dated around mid.1,900s. This shishi puts front legs on charming ball which has stunning flowers and cut-outs.Kutani is famous for dynamic coloring as you see from this piece.The mouth is hollowed out and all are done in high skills.It has a stamp of Kutani on the bottom.Some colors are slightly coming off,but no chips or cracks.It will be fantastic piece to add to your collections!
