This is an art work used to be displayed in an alcove of Japanese room dated around 1,940s. In Japanese art,there are not many arts which have subjects of lions. Male lion is laying totally relaxed putting down his front feet under the face and eyes seem like about to close. There are wavy rich mane covering most of his masculine body. He is a king of animal,but this lion has vert soft and kind face. Wonderful facial expression,long tail,large feet,all details are just beautifully made,so please enjot all on more pictures. Due to age,materials are getting thin and making small holes and some area are dusty,but as a whole it is in very good condition.
