This is a high end samurai armor doll made by Heian Bunkyu in Kyoto for boy's festival day which takes place annually on May 5(originally called tanko no sekku and it is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness.This samurai doll set wearing an armor,helmet in full accessories are displayed as the symbol of a strong and healthy boy.This set is finely made based on real samurai costumes dated around mid.to late 1,900s and comes in an original beautiful urushi,lacqured wooden boxes with ornated gold decorations.The mask has handsome mustache and crest has a dragon decoration and all metalworks are beautifully done and inside of costumes are finly treated and all are done in full details which indicate they are high end. It comes with additional brochers which explain how to make them and display it and the box and back of gold horn are signed and some have tags with name.Please enjoy all details on more pictures. There are some scratches and coatings came off and the end of dragon on the helmet is gludes since it was chippded,and metals on the box is rusty and get greener,and there are slgiht stains,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This armor set comes in much larger and finer than regular piece(heavy!) and will be maganificent display for your home!
