This is a finely woven basket with prefect metal fittings which are missing many times lunch box dated early 1,900's. Bamboo baskets were favored as lunch boxes in hot weather when air circulation was necessary to keep rice. This rectangular bamboo box is woven tightly and has a wonderful natural color which will get glosser using longer and gives nicer look.Thin handles on both sides with tassele make this piece exceptionally elegant.The hook in the front has additional lock and interesting shaped of hardwares.Inside has nice container devied into 3 with great textures outside.This bamboo are woven much finer than regular box and every details are just incredible,so please enjoy all details on more pictures! Some leathers on the corners are worn out and hardwares and metal fittings are getting greener,also lining inside has some stains and getting thin and making holes,and some bamboos are damaged,but considering the age and use, this is in a very good condition.This box has variou uses like making a nice bag adding chains or just great accent piece for your home!
