This is a suzuri bako(writing box) dated around 1,940s done by Kamakura carving.This special carvning is now well known as the elegant and traditional wood carving, produced in the Kamakura. This is decorated with traditional auspicous flowers chrysanthemum designed dinamically covering the whole cover.Inside,there are calligraphic accessories which are ink stone ,ink stick,mizu-sashi(pitcher) to thin ink and brushes which have been used,yet. The back of cover is signed and comes in an wooden box. Please enjoy every stunning woodworks on more pictures! There are scratches an chips and coatings came off and ink marks since it has been used(these marks might be removed),but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be perfect for your calligraphic practice!
