This is a set of 9 wooden bowls coated on one of the finest urushi,Wajima the finest with makie techinique dated around 1,930s. Every cover is decorated with glorious a pair of cranes flying freely drawn by hand beautifully. It is so interesting that a part of crane goes over inside of rim and they are simple,but has a perfect balance.Flipping the cover,inside is coated in stylish black.Unique design of this bowl is the shape of bottom bowl which is made in the shape of Usu,mortar fo pounding mochi!Again,cranes are drawn by high skills(one openes the mouth and other close!),so please enjoy every detail on more pictures! Due to age,there are some scratches,a few chips arond the rims and coatings came off,but as a whole it is in very good condition.
