This is a set of 10 wooden bowls coated on urushi dated around early 1,900s. Not like elegant bowls with flowers and birds, the covers are decorated with fantastic bat!!! It is so intersting that one is drawn from the back and they widely open the wings and fly freely. The other side and the bottom of bowl are also filled with various auspicous motif. Again, this is so rare and unique piece, and all are drawn by hand carefully,so PLEASE enjoy all details on more pictures. It comes in an original wooden box. There are slight scratches, chips, splits and coatings came off,and due to age, bowls start to get warped, and the box is really really worn out(almost coming apart),but considering their age, this set is in a really good conditions. This excpetional piece will be great to add to your collections! *Because the wooden box has many holes and worn out a lot, please understand in advance that we probably can not send it.
