This is a folding fan presented by Takashimaya Department store to special customers dated Showa 52(1,977). This fan and uchiwa had been presented every year with different designs. So sometimes, rich family kept all these fans and uchiwa, and sometimes they come to our market. In Japan, special customers of department store is called 'gaisho', and becoming 'gaisho' customers of Takashimaya and other top-ranking department store has been one of the social status. These fans are printed, but it has high quality with the picture of kite drawn by Kazumasa Nakagwa. It comes in the paper box and hook to hang it. There are not any prominet flaws. This will be a wonderful wall dacoration for sure!
