This is one of the doll used for boy's festival day which takes place annually on May 5(originally called tanko no sekku and it is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness dated around 1,940s.
This tiger is made of hariko,handmade paper and it is baring his fangs which seems like flighting is about to start or bag game,but he is just too cute!Originally,the head should be moving nicely tied with threads.
Rounded eyes,red tongue,large feet,beautiful body,long hairly curled tail,all are done in full details.Please enjoy all on more pictures.
Again,originally,the head is tied with threads to the body on top,so it nicely moves(wire is attached temporary),and
some cloros came off speically the rims and the areas which move,and there are some stains,and a few teeth are damaged,but as a whole it is in very good condition.
This will be a fantstic home decor for sure! |
