This is a charming woodblock printed picture of Izukura -ningyo dated Showa 8(1,933).
Izukura doll represent a simplified aesthetic ideal with smooth bodies,simple bibs and the brevity of painted features which bring the image to life.Whether elaborately costumed or nearly naked, they depict young, generally male, children doing what children do - playing, discovering the world around them. They are with their chubby
bodies, childish expressions, and friendly faces staring candidly at the viewer.Their heads are exceptionally large and round, their facial features usually small and centered, and their bodies signifying health.

There are some patinas specially on the thin cover on top,and white area get blacken,but doll still has adorable look.
