This is a haneri bako, woode box to store decorative collars (on an under-kimono) dated around 1,940s. This is made of all kiri(paulownia)wood to refrain from bugs damages.The corners are finely curved with excellent joineries(even inside of drawers)and 2 handles have nice details and back of them have additional hardwares not to get items damaged.It comes with 2 cushions inside of each drawers and the bottom drawer has an original sticker of store's information.There are interesting reversed colors and designs on the front are really outstanding. Please enjoy all details on more pictures. There are some scratches,splits inside of drawers due to soft wood,and there are some chips around the rims and color came off,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be perfect for your art supplies!
