This is Ko-Hikidashi,chest with drawers dated around 1,940. It has extremely LONG drawers and 2 drawers come in different sizes which are so practical and the back of drawers have extra hardwares not to get scratches when items are stored inside. It is made by traditional joineried and with wooden nails even inside drawers and it is ideal to store various things since they are made of fabulous paulownia wood. There are some scratches and holes on the sides and the wooden frames around the drawers are chipped,and colors came off,also because the length of drawers,the handle on the lower drawers is warped(it needs to use frequnetly since drawers are getting stiff)and inside drawers have splits,but as a whole it is in very good. This piece comes in much longer than regular chest and will have various uses for your home or office or for your art materials!
