This set of Choshi (sake ewer)is made of tin from around 1,960s. Choshi is a pair of sake ewer or kettle, originally a pair and used for traditional ceremonies at shrines and temples for sake. Both have elegant spouts and they are just are simple beauty.Because they are used for special occasions,they are decorated with stunning Mizuhiki(decorative paper cord,often used to decorate packages and envelops) in silver and gold. Whole bodies are decorated the most traditional motif,Shou-chiku-bai,pine,bamboo and plum. It comes in an wooden box. Due to use,inside is really rusty and because mizuhiki are made of papers,they are some flaws,and there are some scrataches,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This set will be so charming to place on the table for your home!
