This is a flower vase made of clay dated around late 1,900s. This exquisite urushi is called Tsugaru -nuri from Aomori prefecture(northern part of Japan). It is famous for layers of lacquer which create incredible polychrome pattern as you see from pictures. It comes in an wooden box and lining(it seems possible to take it out,but not sure). There are slight stains and lining is rusty, also some coatings came off around the inside rims on the bottom, and inside clay has some splits, but as a whole it is in very good condition. This fantastic vase will blighten up your house for sure!
