This ranma is a handcarved wooden transoms which are rectangular opening, longer in the horizontal direction,constructed between the lintels of the frame for sliding screens and the ceiling, also be found at the interior of a dwelling, under the ridges of a gate, on a fence for above the main entrance.This is from around 1,960s.(originally,it is a pair with #506359) It has stunning carving of hawk in the imposing Japanese pine which branches stretch out in this frame.Every pine needles,face and feathers of hawk and handsome natural 2 differnt wooden colors,all details are so striking and done in such a dimentional ways by high skill and this is done by traditional joineries and open frames above carving are really outstanding.PLESE enjoy all on more pictures!
