This is Kashigata, wooden mold for sweets mixing sugar and soy made for special occasions from Nagoya(stamped) dated arond 1,940s. Top piece mold has cutout shape of bottom part outline and has holes to fit bottom part in.It has such a fine carving of lotus.It has slight scratches(2 lines are marks to match 2 pieces easily)and stains,slightly warped in teh conter,and outline of shell is not straight,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be an enjoyable accent piece for your home decor!
