This ranma is a handcarved wooden transom which is rectangular opening, longer in the horizontal direction,constructed between the lintels of the frame for sliding screens and the ceiling, also be found at the interior of a dwelling, under the ridges of a gate, on a fence for above the main entrance.This is from around mid. 1,900s with stunning carving of Japanese traditional scenery and plum and originally it's a pair with #504624).It has many Japanese pine trees and castle on the castles wall and house on the cliff,clouds and moon surround this beautiful scenery.Every pine needles which are recessed dimentionally and 2 different colors of wood,and nicely trimed frames,handsome black rims to sharpen up the look of carving inside,all details are so striking and done such a dimentional ways by high skill and this is done without any nails by perfect traditional joineries.PLESE enjoy all on more pictures!There are some scrathces,dents,and outside frames around corners and rims are chipped,no major cracks and chips and as a whole it is in very good condition.
This will be wonderful home decor for your empty wall(can be displayed from any angles having both sides treated)!(fun to paper some washi in the back,too!) |
