This is a kougo(container for incense) made of pottery used to contain the moist used to get rid of smell of charcoal at tea room dated late 1,900s. It is from Eiraku pottery which is one of Kutani pottery. This is a shape of Hagoita(battledore) with sweet shuttlecocks.5 feathers are colored differently and have nice balls on the bottom. All are painted in stunning colors even sides and inside. There is a signature on the bottom and comes in an orginal wooden box. There are slight stains being placed on the bottom,but there are no chips or cracks. This will be such a fun piece for your home decor!
