This is from Hokkaifo(Northern part of Japan)dated 1,984.The carving is in traditional art for Ainu tribe,usually bears having a wild salmon in th mouth done by hands carefully.The wavy furs are perfectly carved along the body and face as if they were real.The bear is wild,but has chrming face and eyes and a coat of fur,scales of curved fish,all have amazing details.This comes with an original wooden stand with the date and name of area,Akanko(Akan-lake) in Hakkaido where this person bought. Some colors around on top are coming off,there are some sctatches,stains including the stand and due to material,there are some crack,but as a whole they are all in very good condition.
