This is a finely woven basket with metal fittings lunch box dated early 1,900's. Bamboo baskets were favored as lunch boxes in hot weather when air circulation was necessary to keep rice. This rectangular bamboo box is woven tightly and has a wonderful natural color which will get glosser using longer and gives nicer look.Thin handles on both sides make this piece exceptionally elegant. The hook in the front has interesting shape.Inside has nice container divied into 3 with great textures outside. All are done in full details. Hardwares and metal fittings are getting greener, very thin bamboos are damaged, and colors came off, also leathers on the corners have some flaws, but considering the age and use, this is in a good condition and it comes with continers which are missing most of the time. This box has various uses like making a nice bag adding chains or just great accent piece for your home!
