This is a modern kougou(container for incense) used to contain the moist and kneaded incense in Ro season to get rid of smell of charcoal at tea room during tea ceremony.It has a shape of one of the zodiac,Hebi,snake with fantastic colors and textures.It sits on Tawara,a straw rice bag.The details of rice bag,wrapped snake(has eyes and mouth!)all are done in full details.It has a stamp on the bottom and comes with an original wooden box.It has been used,so there are some marks inside,and there are slight scratches,but not chips or cracks.This will be so lovely to decorate at your home!
