This piece may be from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989), but it had to be exported to Europe or United States, and returned to Japan in the later age.
You may know the features of Satsuma yaki are 1. exquisite miniature paintings with lots of gold 2. ivory china with cracking('kannyu')
This vase has fantastic China figures and China scenery motifs, which are exceptionally finely painted. It must be the famous historical scene, but we are sorry we don't know. In olden times, China had been yearning country, and Japanese had learned lots from China and used Chinese motifs in handicrafts and arts. Please enjoy its incredibly fine and artistic details with more photos. It doesn't have prominent flaws.
