This is a unusual Tetsubin(Iron Kettle) with ornately decorated in high relief with landscape scenes dated around early 1,900's or earlier. There is a man bending over with straw hat and coat rowing a boat and there are beautiful waves on both ends,loooking up,just below the handle,there is a peaceful house standing on the cliff.One side has wonderful curved bridge in front of waterfall surronded by Japanese pine trees.The other side has traditional house which have steep roof,recessed walls and fences.All designs are covered with rought textures like rocks and tress and the rims on the bottom are desinged with fantastic details.The lid has small flower shaped handle made of copper signed on the back of lid.On this small testubin,there are so many things going on just like an another world!,so PLESE enjoy ALL details on more pictures.It is rusty specailly inside and there are some stains,and some paper is attached on the bottom(no holes,but sticked to it), but as a whole it is in a good condition. This one of a kind beauty will be great piece to add to your collection!
