This is a superb lantern made of gorgeous copper and iron dated around Meiji era or eralier.It originally should have some screens or papers on the frames.There are 4 petals which are decorated with exceptionally intricated carving.Every petals are gently carved toward bottom and all rims are shaped like flowers.Inside of flower are filled with small dots and coverd with beautiful flowers and ivy.Thick iron frames and hook on top are really finely made.The tray on the bottom is not attached on thbe bottom.Pease enjoy all details on more pictures Due to age and material,all parts are getting rusty and turned into green which look fabulous aged patina,also one rim of one petal has slight crack,but considering its age,this is in a really good condition. This can put some lamp shade,or maybe simple paper which will be fantastic piece of art for your home!
