This is a set of 8 china with the picture of beautiful Rokassen dated around mid.1,900's. The six most well known Waka poets (Rokkasen) were selected poets of Waka in the early Heian period(794-1185). They were Henjo ,Ariwara no Narihira,Hun'ya no Yasuhide,Kisen, Ono no Komachi ,Otomo no Kuronushi and they are always favored art subjects. Some hold paper,brush,composing waka quietly.The rims are nicely trimed and make elegant lozenge shape with gold and green.The back is also decorated with blue on white.Please enjoy all details on more pictures.Some colors came off and some flaws which seems to happen during kiln process,but no cracks and chips.This is so enjoyalbe to display for your home! *This is not hand painted.
