This rare Kattusya(well pulley) is used for drawing water from a well dated aroundmid.1,900s.Well pully is made our of only Keyaki wood which is one of the finest wood showing wonderful grains throughout and it is made without any nails with handsome thick iron.The inside of groove in the wheel, where the rope would run through.Because keyaki is very hard wood,there are some small cracks,and wood got tighten which caused functional disorder of smaller wheel on top,also there are some water stains from frequent use at well,and some rims and corners are worn out,but all are history! This will be so lovely to hang from ceiling or display in the garden,and this has nice warmth only Mingei has!
