This is a wooden tray with nami-chidori(waves and plovers) coated on urushi done by chinkin techinique which gold are carved on lacquered dated early 1,900's. It has charming carved legs on the bottom which gives such a elegant look to it.Inside of tray is colored in red and black with gold carving outside look so stunning together.All the hems have splashing waves and small plovers flying above them.They are in different poses and cute facial expression(some even open the mouth!)and waves are done so lively spreading out to the legs which pattern continue prefectly.The thin rim on top is decorated with charming ivy in fantastic details. Please enjoy all on more pictures. There are some scratches and small dents specially on top surface due to use,also some stains which seems removable,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be a superb and versatile accent piece to brighten up any interior settings! *This can not place on dry climate unless oils are applied occastionally.
