This is a woodblock printed Hikifuda(handbill) dated around early 1,900s.Hikiduda is a small handbill used to advertise shops and products.This custom started during the middle of Edo era and designs bacame very elaborated.This has a chaming Ebisu (the god of business people) and Daikoku (the god of wealth).Daikoku holds an umbrella,lifting his left foot,wearing pointed shoulder kimono in gorgeous patterns.Ebisu bends over,wears traditional court costumes,holding a fan,sword aside.Both are dancing with big smiles.The frame is decorated with Takarazukushi which is traditional auspicious motif.
