This is a Hikifuda(handbill) dated Meiji 39(1906).Hikiduda is a small handbill used to advertise shops and priducts.This custom started during the middle of Edo era and designs bacame very elaborated.This was from kimono shop in Shiga with the information of post office to be attractive.This can be used as memo,calender,chart for postage,all are made with practical information.It is devided in 4 with colorful illustrations.Please enjoy all on more details.There are very slight stains,but this is almost perfect condition.This will be charming art on the empty wall for your home!
