This is a wonderful sometuske 'haisen' dated around 1,920s. In olden times, the host first asked for the guest’s cup and toasted him. The cup was then returned to the guest who returned the compliment by drinking to his host. During these exchanges, the cup was rinsed in water held in a special cup-washing container placed in the center of the table which was Haisen. This is decorated with various auspicious motif which are crane in the middle and there are bird and plum all around the bowl. Vase and stand in blue edged and tradtional blue and white looks so elegant. All pictures are painted by hand with very skilled touch. Please enjoy its fantastic hand work with more photos. It has slight flaws probably from the process in klin but there are no cracks or chips. This will be exquisite art piece for your home!
