This is a Okamochi,lunch box dated around 1,940's.It has wondeful tall handle attached and box has gorgeous dark reddish brown wiped lacquer throughout with great joineries.There are artistic writing by ink brush which is the name of store(Marubin-ya).Due to heavy use of carrying outside,it is worn out a lot,some cracks,holes,chips,some nails are gone,some coatings are coming off,but they turned into great history!This will be great as a planter or paper container,and bring a unique charm to your home!
