This is a shuro which is portable hand warmer from around Taisho(1930's-). Inside is for sumi(charcoal) and the removal cover has an opening for air to come out.The whole body is decorated with imposing rolled dragon which show excellent dettails.His scale,hairs, eye are nicely raised from the body and make it look more dramatic.The cover also have the curled dragon with clouds like decoration around.The handle has interesting repeated geometric designs attaced with find works.It has an artist's stamp on the bottom.Please enjoy all details on more pictures.Due to use and material,some parts are getting greener and there are some scratches and small dents,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This will be exqusite accent piece for your home !
