This is a richly ornated wooden Shiki-ita coated on urushi.Originally it is used for a base for flower arrangement in an alcove or display art objects on top. There are elegant designs of bamboo with sparrow resting on plum tree on the right and there is fine chrysanthemum in the folding fan on the left. There are wonderful curled details on both ends and sides decorated in gold.It has some scrathces and golden designs are coming off a lot,also,there are a few cracks on the legs due to material and use, but it is no problem to use as a stand.This will be perfect stand for your art objects or flower arrangements!
