This Jubako is 5 wooden stacking boxes coated on urushi dated around 1,920s.It has graceful golden family crest of ozenge which started to get used from Heian-period(794-1185) on the back of cover.Lozange bacame famous being used by Takeda family,these day, 2 lazenge is known as `M itsubishi'The hems are finely curved and inside is powered in silver which give the excellent contrast to black.There are 5 layers,and comes with trays to put them on.This base is genttly curved with interesting cutout in the middel.There are 2 covers,so not only use as a set, it also can be used as 2 and 3 (1 and 4)as a set,also the base itself will be fine tray.Every wood is really thick,cover is finely trimed,so please enjoy all details on more pictures! This set comes in original wooden boxes with hardwares. Due to age,one of the cover has chips and scracthces specially around the lips,and coatings around rims of botton stand came off being dried,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This can store many things inside,also will be merbelous accent piece for your home decor!
