This is a set of 8 texbooks to practice calligraphy dated Taisho 4 (1,915),Showa 7(1,932) and 6 other don't have a year written,but should be dated around 1,930s. The brown books consist of 6 books as a complete full set and is called Senji-mon,simply means the Thousand character classic kanji and they have about 27-31 pages. The one without title has interesting hieroglyphics and the thicket book has block style. All are handwritten by dynamic ink brush using different strokes.All are really practical and interesting,so enjoy all details on more pictures. Due to use and age,there are some stains,patina,tears,holes and folded pages are getting separated,some flaws on the rims and corners,but as a whole it is in very good condition. This set will be defnitly ideal to study Japanese calligraphy! *Size above is the size of largest book and boks are folded,so whole length should be really long.
