This is a pair of wonderul wooden carvings dated around late 1900s from in Hokkaido(Northern part of Japan),used to be carved by Ainu tribe.The carving is in traditional art for them,and all are done by hands carefully.This is set of charming couple called 'nipopo' which means small wooden child,doll,and guardian of love.They have lively facial expressions and interesting poses in tradtional costumes,all are done in full details. This is made ouf a solid wood,so they are really heavy and have wonderful touch.Please enjoy all details on more pictures. There are some scratches,stains,dents, chips around the rims(noticeable chips on top of side),but as a whole it is in very good condition. This art piece will be fun home decor!
