One of fine art,Okimono(Display art) ,is usually carving made of ivory,copper,metal and solid wood as ornament for display.During Edo period(1600-1868) ,okimono for an alcove at tea room was indispensable as well as scroll,insent burners and other art works. They were usually small scales,but these days,they come in different sizes with different motif.
